Ok been awhile since I've updated. I'm still down in Florida for Spring Break, and I'm not doing a massive update tonight. I've had a lot on my mind lately, and a lot has happened both physically and mentally and situationally. A lot of thinking gone on this week, a lot of realizations, and a lot to reflect upon when I have more time to do so. Suffice to say I promise you all a good detailed update when I have the time :) Never fear though-this update won't be a 3 sentencer :P

I've been thinking of starting another blog to put up and store all the poetry I've done over the years. I've wanted to have some digital media format of it for some time now. I had some up on Poetry.com but only a few. Actually one of the ones on there got me a big award from the National Poetry Association. I had totally forgotten about a few favorites I'd posted on there. I'll post the link HERE for any of you who are interested. You can just go to Poetry.com and search for the poems under my name-Peter Palumbo. There's 3 I think. "I Stand Alone" was the contest winner. I used to write quite the bit of poetry up until the end of my frosh year of college. Things got too busy then, although there certaintly was plenty of inspiration to write from since. Here's "I Stand Alone" for those of you too lazy to click a hyperlink. You know who you are!

I Stand Alone

If I stand alone
It does now mean
I am any less human.
If my arms do not hold another,
It does not mean
They are incapable of holding.
If my tongue is silent,
It does not mean
That is will be mute
When the time comes
That words can be sincerely spoken
And just because the
world has not yet introduced
The One that will share my life,
It certaintly dos not mean
That I am incapable of
loving.

-Peter James Palumbo-

Anyways expect that blog sometime in the near future. I think I have the few journals I used to write all of them in, and a good deal of them exist in some saved MS Word files when I tried migrating a bunch of my poetry onto some kind of digital format. Cutting and pasting is so easy they should be up in no time. Well tommorrow is a very important day to me, and maybe you'll find out why in that Spring Break post coming soon :)
