It's Good Friday...so here are some C.S. Lewis quotes that are my favorites in honorarium of Easter 2005. Hard to believe it was two thousand and five years ago when Christ was walking the Earth.

"You don't have a soul. You are a Soul. You have a body."

"What you see and hear depends a good deal on where you are standing; it also depends on what kind of a person you are"

"God whispers to us in our pleasures, speaks to us in our conscience, but shouts in our pains: It is His megaphone to rouse a deaf world"

"The real problem is not why some pious, humble, believing people suffer, but why some do not."

"If you read history you will find that the Christians who did most for the present world were precisely those who thought most of the next. It is since Christians have largely ceased to think of the other world that they have become so ineffective in this."

"Faith... is the art of holding on to things your reason once accepted, despite your changing moods."

"A man can no more diminish God's glory by refusing to worship Him than a lunatic can put out the sun by scribbling the word, 'darkness' on the walls of his cell."

"Nothing that you have not given away will ever be really yours."

*** "I believe in Christianity as I believe that the sun has risen: not only because I see it, but because by it I see everything else." ***

"The pain I feel now is the happiness I had before. That's the deal."

"If I find in myself a desire which no experience in this world can satisfy, the most probable explanation is that I was made for another world"

Friendship is born at that moment when one person says to another, "What! You too? I thought I was the only one!"

Has this world been so kind to you that you should leave with regret? There are better things ahead than any we leave behind.

My favorite from that site is still

"DUDE YOU'RE GETTING A PETER!"

"Nobody better lay a finger on my Peter!"
Ok so tons of people keep complaining and bitching that I don't update my blog anymore like I used to. I'm actually kind of surprised at the frequency some of you check this lol. So here's a little update for all you dedicated readers:

Beginning of February I finally got hired by a company called IntelliSync. 5 years ago PumaTech and Synchrologic merged to give us IntelliSync. Based out of Alpharetta, GA and San Jose, CA (with many offices across the country and world) IntelliSync deals with File Synchronization and mobile data synchronization as well. We have many vendors but our biggest client is the pharmaceutical Pfizer. Pfizer has tons of travelling employees who visit doctors and introduce new drugs, sample packs, give speeches, etc. These mobile users need a way to synchronize their data or portions of a collective database while on the road. IntelliSync developed a suite of 8 programs that does just this in a very interesting manner, to which I cannot elaborate hence evil competitors might find it via a sneaky Google search :P

So after like 2 dozen interviews within a month I finally got hired by IntelliSync. Great benefits, great pay, excellent upward (and horizontal) mobility. It's a very scalable starting position. Not to mention the branch I work out of in Bedminster, NJ is about 10 minutes from home. So Feb 28-March 4 I flew down to Georgia for a week of training. I got home that Friday after 3 plane delays, and then 2 days later left for spring break with Jess, my girlfriend. We spent the week down in Fort Myers Beach which was a nice way to relax before rejoining the workforce. So I've been working officially for about 2 weeks now and it's going excellent. It's a lot of hard work, studying, learning the systems inside out, but I've been enjoying it so far.

So that's what's up in the world of Pete. In 2 weeks and a day I turn 23. It's time for me to really find out if nobody likes you when you're 23. I say it often enough, so ironically we'll see :P That's the humdrum and humble on this side of the GSP.

Hope everyone who's working is doing well, everyone at 'Cuse is keeping warm, and anyone I haven't talked to in forever and a day understands I've been b to the usy the past 4 months.

Bourbon
Congratulations! You're 130 proof, with specific scores in beer (80) , wine (83), and liquor (86).
Screw all that namby-pamby chick stuff, you're going straight for the bottle and a shot glass! It'll take more than a few shots of Wild Turkey or 99 Bananas before you start seeing pink elephants. You know how to handle your alcohol, and yourself at parties.

My test tracked 4 variables How you compared to other people your age and gender:

You scored higher than 56% on proof

You scored higher than 90% on beer index

You scored higher than 93% on wine index

You scored higher than 93% on liquor index

Atlanta trip went well, got back Friday after 3 horrendous delays because Newark was short air-traffic controllers. Sat in the plane on the runway for 2 hours until we could finally take off. Back home since Friday, now I'm off to Florida tomorrow with Jess to visit my parents. Yay warm weather.

So I've given up looking for the third CD of this trio that I wanted to take on my business trip. I want to bring a book with me on the plane too, so I grab Case For Faith, and as I'm going under my bed to find it, I find the 2cd software box with the needed CD. Thanks Jesus. You the man!

It's going to be a good week :)

Hopefully updates to follow from Atlanta!

'Twas the night before Christmas, and God it was neat
The kids were both gone, and my wife was in heat

The doors were all bolted, and the phone off the hook
It was time for some nooky, by hook or by crook.

Momma in her teddy, and I in the nude.
Had just hit the bedroom and reached for the lube

When out on the lawn there arose such a cry,
That I lost my boner and poor momma went dry.

Up to the window I sprang like an elf,
Tore back the shade while she played with herself.

The moon on the crest of the snowman we'd built,
Showed a broom up his ass, clean up to the hilt.

When what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But a rusty old sleigh and eight mangy reindeer.

With a fat little driver, half out of his sled,
A sock in his ear, and a bra on his head.

Sure as I'm speaking, he was as high as a kite.
And he yelled to his team, but it didn't sound right.

Whoa Shithead, whoa Asshole, whoa Stupid, whoa Putz,
Either slow down this rig or I'll cut off your nuts.

Look out for the lamp post, and don't hit the tree,
Quit shaking the sleigh, 'cause I gotta go pee.

They cleared the old lamp post, the tree got a rub,
Just as Santa leaned out and threw up on my shrub.

And then from the roof we heard such a clatter,
As each little reindeer now emptied its bladder.

I was donning my jacket to cover my ass,
When down the chimney Santa came with a crash.

His suit was all smelly with perfume galore,
He looked like a bum and he smelled like a whore.

That was some brothel, he said with a smile,
The reindeer are pooped, I'll just stay here awhile.

He walked to the kitchen, himself poured a drink,
Then whipped out his pecker and pissed in the sink.

I started to laugh, my wife smiled with glee,
The old boy was hung nearly down to his knee.

Back in the den, Santa reached in his sack,
But his toys were all gone, and some new things were packed.

The first thing he found was a pair of false tits,
The next was a handgun with a penis that spits.

A box filled with condoms was Santa's next find,
And a six pair of panties, the edible kind.

A bra without nipples, a penis extension,
And several other things that I shouldn't even mention.

A cock ring, a G-string, and all types of oil,
A dildo so long, it lay in a coil.

This suff ain't for kids, Mrs. Santa will shit,
So I'll leave 'em here, and then I'll just split.

He filled every stocking and then took his leave,
With one tiny butt plug tucked under his sleeve.

He sprang to his sleigh, but his feet were like lead,
Thus he fell on his ass and broke wind instead.

In time he was seated, took the reins of his hitch,
Take me home Rudolph, this night's been a bitch!

The sleigh was near gone when we heard Santa shout, The best thing about sex
is that it never wears out!

Merry Christmas Everyone.

"Hello, you've reached Arnold's pizza shop. I'm not here right now I'm out killing pepperoni. If you want to reach me, if you want a pizza-I don't care! can't you realize that idiot! But if you need a pizza sometime during the next few days, I can have it delivered to you, or maybe I will staple it to you. I don't care what you want on it, every pizza comes with pepperoni and 9mm bullets on it. If you don't like it, I don't care 'cause you'll receive one anyhow. The only difference is maybe the 9mm bullets will in a gun on maybe on your pizza. If you don't **** around I'll give you good pizza. If you do **** around I'll take a pepperoni and punch it through your head. So if you want mushroom shut up. If you want broccoli, what the hell is broccoli anyway?! Shut up with the broccoli. If you want something crazy like pineapple I'll kill you! If you like pepperoni and bullets you've come to the right place! If not you're an idiot, you deserve to die! So leave your name, number, serial number, how tall you are, whether you're suceptible to any diseases. And if you are I'll come over, maybe I'll give you a pizza, maybe I'll break off your arm."

"The clock is ticking, brothers and sisters. Counting down to Armageddon. The worm reveals itself in many guises across this once-great land, from the intellectual elite, cruely indoctrinating our children with the savage blasphemy of Darwin, to the craven Hollywood pagans corrupting them in the darkness of the local bijou. From the false prophets cowering behind our nation's pulpits, to the vile parasites in our banks and boardrooms, and the godless politicians, growing fat on the misery of their constituants. The signs of the end-times are all around us, etched in blood and fire by the left hand of G-d. You have but to open your eyes, brothers and sisters. The truth is, that the Devil is here! The anitchrist, the child of lies, the son of Darkness, walks among us cloaked in the flesh of a man. Does the Lord not weep at this degredation? Does he not tremble with righteous fury? And shall he not seek retribution? I open my eyes, and I see a black sky that tears apart and screams with the voice that is thunder! Rise up! Rise up brothers and sisters, and take your place at my side! For you shall be my sign, and your faith shall shine like a thousand suns, and the streets shall be sanctified with the steaming black blood of the heretics! And together, brothers and sisters, together we shall build a shining temple. The kingdom that will last for thousands and thousands of years." -Carnivale

Haven't updated in awhile...thought tonight would be a good time since I'm wide awake and not going to bed anytime soon. Things are pretty good lately...busy and stressful but I can't complain about anything for myself. Other peoples' problems are more taxing than my own as usual. A relative is in the hospital, my brother may be moving to Florida for work and someone very close to me is going through a living hell with her family. It's been a bad December so far. You wish you could help but most often you can't at all. Life isn't perfect, and it's really hurting lately.

Heaven bent to take my hand
And lead me through the fire
Be the long awaited answer
To a long and painful fight

Truth be told I've tried my best
But somewhere along the way
I got caught up in all there was to offer
And the cost was so much more than I could bear

Though I've tried, I've fallen...
I have sunk so low
I have messed up
Better I should know
So don't come 'round here
And tell me I told you so...

We all begin with good intent
Love was raw and young
We believed that we could change ourselves
The past could be undone
But we carry on our backs the burden
Time always reveals
The lonely light of morning
The wound that would not heal
It's the bitter taste of losing everything
That I have held so dear.

I've fallen...
I have sunk so low
I have messed up
Better I should know
So don't come 'round here
And tell me I told you so...

Heaven bent to take my hand
Nowhere left to turn
I'm lost to those I thought were friends
To everyone I know
Oh they turned their heads embarassed
Pretend that they don't see
But it's one missed step
You'll slip before you know it
And there doesn't seem a way to be redeemed

Though I've tried, I've fallen...
I have sunk so low
I have messed up
Better I should know
So don't come round here
And tell me I told you so...

So yesterday I posted this away message after seeing Mike Klemens post a similar one:

"Do you still have me on your buddy list, check my away messages, but never say hi?!
Go for it! say helloooo!"

I always wonder, whenever I think of someone who I haven't spoken or seen in a long time, if that person ever thinks or wonders about me as well. The results were interesting. there were a few classes of people who responded.

A.) Online friends who I'd chatted with for some time and occasionally still catch up with. Thank you to all in this group who dropped me an IM. I wonder about you all and hope things are going well on your ends!

B.) People I never converse with anymore, but do wonder about when I see their screen name on my list. It's nice to see who still checks my away messages for

C.) People I have no desire ever to speak to again in my life. There was only one person in this class. A person from three years ago who I am glad every day that they're out of my life. They've not been on my list since that time, and why I would ever remain on their list is positively beyond me. Can you say "living in the past?"

It was an interesting experiment nonetheless. The road trip to Syracuse rocked. Got there around 3:30 Friday, got our stuff moved into Zach & Bekkah's. Took Jess for a tour around campus. It was kind of surreal to be back at SU. I enjoyed my 4 years, but I was definitely glad to get out. College is never what you expect it to be, and for me there was definitely too much I had not wanted it to be. A lot of first steps, and the last two years I never worked so hard in my life for those majors. I realized something that first few hours there. But that realization is not for your eyes :)

As rough as things are, I'm grateful for every step I've taken. Every mistake I've made. Every person I've met, even those who I never want a thing to do with again.

Every longlost dream led me to where you are
Others who broke my heart, they were just falling stars,
Pointing me on my way, into your loving arms.
This much I know is true
That God blessed the broken road that led me straight to you

So it's my last day of work. Julio's backed up all my files here. I'm not leaving a damn thing on this computer :) I even get to leave a little early today. So yay for Thursday, and today is technically a Friday since I don't have to work tomorrow. It's Halloween this weekend, but more importantly it's road trip time with the girl. I've been looking forward to getting back to visit Syracuse mucho this fall. Haven't been back since I left that last week in May. So many things were different then, and that semester, not to mention graduation, kind of ended with a sour taste in my mouth due to the Red House Embarassment as I've come to call it.

Asa's still up in 'Cuse working at the local Wegman's. (I'm always amused by how they know of mine in Bridgewater, and the newly built but not yet fully operation (hahahah SW) Wegman's in Ocean by my gf. The Red Housers who didn't graduate are still up there-Carl, Kate, Russel, Brandy, Zach, (yes I consider him a full-fledged Red Houser!). Chris Hall is still up there, as well as Kat, Bekkah, Christine, Jenny, Jen, Carlynn. Ok yeah so you get the point, there's a lot of people still up there ;) Work has kept me so busy this fall that I haven't had a chance to get up until now. I can't wait. This is going to be an awesome weekend. Kate's having a confirmed Halloween Costume party so we've even got definite plans. It'll be good to drop in on the old boss too and demand my reccomendation letter :D And Cosmo's wings...dear Lord thank you for that sweet, sweet nectar of life. Gotta work on my costume tonight...if it's ever going to be ready! :D Details to follow after the weekend jump :)

I came across this on the internet today and thought it was mucho cool. A lego robot that's programmed to play the first level of Mario Bros. for the Nintendo Entertainment System. Mad geeks? Yes! Virgins still? Most likely! You've got to see the vid though...still pretty impressive. These kids should be involved in the Space Program.

I will never stop being amazed by how geeky some people can really be. Check out pics from an online wedding in Star Wars Galaxies, the online MMORPG.
